Do wall lights need to be hardwired?
Not necessarily. Alongside our classic hardwired designs, we stock plug-in and rechargeable, battery-operated wall lights that need no wiring at all, so you can fit them almost anywhere without an electrician.

How high should a wall light be hung?
For a bedside sconce, roughly seated eye level either side of the headboard works well; for a hallway or staircase run, keep fittings at a consistent height for rhythm. Adjust to suit your own ceiling and furniture.

Can I use a wall light in a bathroom?
Some of our wall lights are suited to bathroom use, but always check the IP rating against the bathroom zone it will be installed in, and have bathroom lighting fitted by a qualified electrician.
