FAQs

Delivery

Do you offer free UK delivery?

Yes. Delivery is free on every order across the UK, with no minimum spend. The price you see on the product page is the price you pay.

How long does delivery take?

Your order is dispatched within 1-3 business days and usually arrives within 8 to 15 business days of your order. You will hear from us by email the moment it leaves us.

Can I track my order?

Yes, where tracking is available. As soon as your order is dispatched we send you the tracking number by email, so you can follow it to your door.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and islands. If you are outside the UK, write to us at contact@thelightheritage.com and we will let you know as soon as we can reach you.

Returns and refunds

What is your returns policy?

You have 30 days from delivery to return anything, for any reason. Return shipping is free and we arrange it for you.

How do I start a return?

Email us at contact@thelightheritage.com with your order number. We will send you a returns authorisation and full instructions, and we cover the cost of the return.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return reaches us we confirm by email and issue your refund to your original payment method within 14 days. How quickly it then appears depends on your bank or card issuer.

My item arrived damaged — what should I do?

Send us a photograph and your order number at contact@thelightheritage.com and we will put it right straight away, with a replacement or a full refund. Returning a damaged item never costs you anything.

Products

Do your lights come with bulbs included?

It varies by design. Some pieces are supplied with bulbs, and some use integrated LEDs that need none at all. Every product page tells you exactly what is in the box and which bulb fitting it takes.

Do I need an electrician to install the lights?

Our table and floor lamps simply plug in and need no installation.

Ceiling lights, pendant lights, chandeliers and wall lights are hardwired, and we recommend that they are fitted by a qualified electrician.

For bathrooms and for outdoor lighting this matters more than elsewhere: in England and Wales, electrical work in a room containing a bath or shower, and any new circuit, is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations and must be certified. Scotland has equivalent requirements. A registered electrician can certify the work for you.

Do you offer a warranty on your products?

Yes. All our products come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, running from the date of delivery. If you experience an issue within this period, contact us at contact@thelightheritage.com and we will arrange a replacement or a refund.

This guarantee is offered in addition to your statutory rights, which it does not affect.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is processed securely and we never see or store your card details.

Are your prices inclusive of tax?

Yes. Every price on the site is shown in pounds sterling with all taxes included. Nothing is added at checkout and there are no import charges on UK orders.

Orders

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yes. Email us at contact@thelightheritage.com and if your order has not yet been dispatched we will amend or cancel it right away. If it is already on its way, you can simply return it free of charge once it arrives.

An item I want is out of stock — when will it be back?

Write to us at contact@thelightheritage.com with the piece you have in mind. We will tell you when it is expected and let you know the moment it is back.
