A weatherproof gateway lantern

An aluminium frame houses an acrylic diffuser in a classic lantern silhouette, built to resist rust and moisture for long term outdoor use. Finished in black or bronze, it throws a warm upward glow from an E27 bulb, suited to gateways, terraces, corridors and villa entrances.

You will need

Drill, screwdriver, spirit level, voltage tester

Not confident with wiring? Use a registered electrician.

Installation

Switch off at the fuse box. Outdoor lights must be earthed and on an RCD.
Screw the backplate to the wall with rust-proof fixings, cable through the gasket.
Connect brown to L, blue to N, green/yellow to earth.
Run clear silicone along the top edge and cable entry.
Fit the glass or lantern and a weatherproof LED bulb, switch on.

Care

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth once cool. No solvents.
